British Columbia Association
of Farmers Markets
This is a coalition of Farmers Markets around the province. Find a market to visit
during your travels! Or, find out more about why markets are important to vendors,
shoppers and communities.
Vancity Credit Union
VanCity has offered us numerous grants and awards and is an ongoing supporter of
our work in supporting sustainable agriculture. In addition to several Community
Partnership grants, we have twice been awarded a $20,000.00 VanCity Community Economic
Development Grant.
Certified
Organic Associations of British Columbia (COABC)
COABC is a coalition of Organic Certifying bodies across the province. In order to
advertise as organic growers, farmers at our markets must be certified by a COABC
recognized body or organization whose standards meet theirs. Check them out to see
exactly what organic growing means and to see what COABC doing to support and promote
BC agriculture.
FarmFolk/CityFolk Society
FarmFolk/CityFolk Society is another organization in Vancouver dedicated to supporting
rural-urban interface, supporting food security and lobbying for social change in
food issues. Though they have not been instrumental in creating or making our markets
a reality, they've been a great supporter and are doing interesting work themselves.
