Our 2005 shopper surveys reinforced this idea with many of you putting it at the top of your list of suggested market improvements. We are planning to make 2006 a trial season for hot food on-site at all markets. We are looking for a certain type of food service provider though, so if you, or someone you know might be interested, please read on. Your Local Farmers Market Society is looking for ready-to-eat food providers for all 3 of our weekly farmers markets. We would like the food offered for sale to reflect the local bounty of BC farms and to be nutritious as well as delicious. More details: - ingredients should be seasonal or sourced locally when possible - products should be minimally packaged - hand held, utensil-free food is ideal - food can be hot or cold - we're open to ideas - no coffee beverages shall be served when a coffee vendor is on-site - your vending area should be no larger than 10' x 10' - there is little or no on-site power or water supply at the market sites - you must supply your own - the food service provider and their products should comply with all Vancouver Coastal Health Authority's regulations regarding"Temporary Food Booths" - all ingredients will be displayed or accessible outside of the food booth. Please contact Roberta or Tara at 604-879-3276 for more information. We look forward to adding this tasty new feature to our markets! | [top] |
